Frequently Asked Questions
The recovery depends on different factors, and it can vary from patient to patient. Patients are usually able to recover within 7 to 14 days after surgery, while others might have the pink effect on their scalp after 2 months of the surgery.
Shock loss is an after effect of the surgery; you will start noticing after several weeks of the surgery. This can happen due to the surgical procedure rather than anything else. It usually affects the area of implanted hair or the nearby hair follicles with in the first 3 -4 months of transplant procedure. Not every patient goes through the shock loss but those who do, have got nothing to worry about as it is temporary, and you will be healing soon.
There are many stories about how hair transplant surgeries went wrong and damaged the patient’s head. This not only causes great difficulty in any further hair restoration surgery but also affects patients mental well being. There are major 3 factors, which can affect your hair growth:
Clinical matters: While you are operating on a person’s head, it is important to take the grafts out and place them back in time.
After Surgery: It is not always a surgeon’s fault of spoiling your grafts, but a patient can be responsible for this too. If you do not take care of your grafts for the first 2 weeks, your hair growth might be affected. We will discuss with you in details about how to look after the newly transplanted hair grafts, at time of consultaion and after the procedure,
X-Factor: Even after taking so much care of your hair and choosing the right surgeon, your hair growth might be affected. There can be multiple reasons behind that such as your other health conditions: diabetes, blood pressure, smoking habits, etc.
